My Story

My Dog.

I arrived back from school into my house. My shoes were filled to the brim with freezing cold rain.It felt like I had a ocean in my vans.My hair looked like spaghetti which has been cooked wrong.Furthermore my hands were blue, teeth were chattering,my skirt was clinging to my legs. All because my umbrella turned inside out with the rain. All of a sudden as soon as I open the door Skyler (my puppy) came charging towards me. Skyler has grey and white fur and when she gets wet it goes all curly. You can hardly see her eyes. She is like the Dulux dog but much smaller and she wont grow that big!She was caked in soggy wet mud.As her tail was wagging  whilst she was doing so little clumps of mud were flying off in every direction! You could hear mum shouting at the top of her voice.
" Skyler get up here right now!"she yelled
It must of been as I was listening to mum and giggling because she was trying to give Skyler a bath.Skyler decided to rub herself on my uniform so I was covered in mud too. She normally does that to say hello in her own dog way. However today was not funny nor cute when she done it. It was only Tuesday so I couldn't wash it either. Sklyer looked pleased with herself thinking she was doing something helpful towards me.I didn't raise my voice or yell because I knew then i would get the lecture of mum saying  over and over again she is just a puppy! Plus i didn't want to scare her. I gave her a stroke. As I was walking up the stairs i could feel Skyler's wet nose bumping me on the back of the leg every time I stopped.Plus her nibbling away at the threads on my vans and socks. As mum saw me we both burst  out laughing in the end we were both nearly on the floor crying!
"Good job your not in school tomorrow!"mum said hysterically
I was confused. Then I remembered it was a inset day!
I sighed with so much relief!

Free Choice

I raised my hand in class this morning,

I raised my hand in class this morning,
sitting in the back.
The teacher didn't see, I think.
Instead she called on Jack.

I stretched my hand up higher,
but she called on Zach and Zoe.
I started bouncing up and down,
but, still, she called on Chloe.

I waved my arms but, even so,
she didn't call on me.
She called on Bryan, Brooklyn, Billy,
Bailey, Ben, and Bree.

She called on Taylor, Tristan, Thomas,
Trinity, and Ty.
Then, finally, she called my name.
I breathed a heavy sigh.

She asked me for the answer.
I just frowned and clenched my knees,
and said, "I've no idea,
but could I use the bathroom, please?"

Poem Before 1900's

Almost There
Frozen shadows,
blinking lights,
lovers laughing,
underneath the
star filled skys.
Hand in hand,
heart on heart,
a toest to us,
and a promise
of a new start.
DAVID GERARDINO

Ballad of the Broken Heart

Standing on one side of the bridge
You on the other
Burned at both ends
of the times we spent with one another
As the bridge slowly crumbles apart
A melody starts to play
The Ballad of the Broken Heart

Reminscing of a secret love affair
Wallowing in the pits of despair
This isn't the ending
Its a brand new start
As a melody begins to play
The Ballad of the Broken Heart

For a wounded heart time does not heal
Only gives it a better conceal
In the beginning like a flower our love arose
To end this chapter
The book will close

From within, the music will start
Hail! Sing, sing aloud to the melody
The Ballad of the Broken Heart

Haiku Poem-

The crow has flown away:
a leafless tree.
Swaying in the evening sun,

Animal Poem-My Dog

My Dog Ate My Homework.

My dog ate my homework,
That mischievous pup,
Got hold of my homework,
And gobbled it all up.

My dog ate my homework,
It's going to be late,
I guess that the teacher
Will just have to wait.

My dog ate my homework,
He swallowed it whole,
I shouldn't of mixed it,
In his food bowl

Love Poem-Why I Love You.

Why I Love You.

You give me hope,
And help me to cope,
And when life pulls me down,
You bring me around.

You teach me to care,
And help me to share,
You make me honest
With kindness the best.

From you I learnt To LOVE,
With grace from above,
It's for you I live,
And want to give.

You are the reason,
That fills each season,
When I hear LOVE I think of you,
You are my world and best friend too.

I LOVE YOU because  you are so kind, thoughtful and caring,
I LOVE YOU because you are so pleasant, lovely and sharing.

You made me the man I am
Thank you.

War Poem-Back

Back.

They ask me where I've been,
And what I've done and seen,
But what can I reply?
Who know it wasn't I,
But someone just like me,
Who went across the sea,
And with my head in hands....
Killed men in foreign lands....
Though I must bear the blame,
Because me bore my name.

Funny Poems-All My Great Excuses

All My Great Excuses.

I started my homework,
But my pen ran out of ink,
My hamster ate my homework,
My computers on the blink.

I accidentally dropped it,
In the soup my mum was cooking,
My brother flushed it down the toilet,
when i wasn't looking

My mother ran my homework,
through the washer and dryer,
An aeroplane crashed into our house,
My homework caught on fire.

Tornadoes blew my notes away,
Volcanoes struck our town,
My notes where taken hostage,
by a evil killer clown.

Some aliens abducted me,
i had a shark attack,
A pirate swiped my homework,
And wouldn't give it back.

I worked on these excuses,so darned long my teacher said,"I'll think you'll find it easier if you do the work instead.

Sad Poem-Silent Tears

Silent Tears

Shh....listen you don't you hear,
I'm crying but there silent tears,
I'm crying inside so you can't see,
All the pain running through me,
I cry for you I cry for me,
I cry for sometimes I can't,
So if you listen your may hear,
My silent tears

School Poem-I'm Staying Home From School Today

I'm staying home from school today,
I'd rather be in bed,
Pretending I have a pain,
Pounding in my head.

I'll say I have a stomach ache,
I'll claim I have the flu,
I'll shiver like I'm cold,
And hold my breath until I'm blue.

I'll fake cough,I'll fake sneeze,
I'll say my throat is sore,
If necessary I can throw,
A tantrum on the floor.

I'm sure ill get away with it,
Of that there is little doubt,
But even so I really hope,
My students don'y find out.
